![]() ![]() In off peak times (during the week) they are on demand. There are a fleet of buses that ferry people around to all the main hotels and lifts free of charge. The majority of the runs (excluding blacks) are lit and run until 9pm - this makes up for the fact there isn't the length of runs you'd expect. ![]() What sets this resort apart is, 1) The nighttime skiing. The resort has areas with rails, boxes and jumps that are well maintained. There are two small newbie areas that have a mix of chair lifts and magic carpets, there are great for complete beginners however these runs can be accessed from blue runs, meaning on occasion there are fast skiers coming through. There are a wide range of blue and black diamond runs however I'd say the green runs are lacking as are double black diamonds. The resort is short but wide, this means you don't get the longer runs you'd expect in other resorts. We both haven't ski'd before however I am a keen snowboarder. I guess I'll try again in another 30 years lol. You can imagine the congestion on the hill and lift line. Thousands of skiers were trapped on a couple of runs unable to get over to an alternate lift. At 4:30 the north mountain closes (no lighting- fair enough) but at the same moment they closed half of the middle hill for grooming. I explained the situation and the lift operator handed my the needed plastic connector with no hesitation. So I skied the rest of the day with no ticket displayed and no one even noticed until my last run. The woman wouldn't give me one without the receipt (my wife had them) for the ticket. People were fuming! Later in the day my ticket fell off so I went back to the ticket counter to ask for another plastic do hickey to attach it to my coat. Long story short it took over half an hour waiting in line to get those tickets. We bought our lift passes online and expected to show the printouts, get the bar codes scanned, and get our tickets. But customer relations was really abysmal. I knew it would be busy and expected that- actually the lift lines varied and sometimes we did not have to wait long for the north chair. I took my family of four (including two teens) to Blue Mountain on Sunday Feb 19th having not visited the place for nearly 30 years. ![]()
